ABOUT ME
I'm a student in UOW KDU Malaysia currently working as a freelance manga translator under Comikey Media, providing official localizations for various Mangas! I'm also looking to expand further into other medias as well.
I have worked on or helped out with various series, with some of them going on to receive anime adaptations and gotten good reviews.
My Japanese skills are mostly self taught, and I've recently started taking up official Japanese classes to further improve my skills.
MY SKILLS

- Familiar with various terminology, proverbs, and slangs used in Japanese culture.
- Have experience in Japanese Business language.
- Capable of doing research on-the-fly and providing notes for readers in cases where the meaning is unclear.
- Familiar with various tools to write scripts (Google docs, MSword, etc.)
- Familiar with Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel for documentation
- Can adapt well with any given style or format.
- Familiar with using external sheets to keep track of finished and uploaded chapters, as well as list of SFX and Terminologies used.
- Experience managing a small Japanese game community and writing up announcements for said community.

MY WORKS
Thank You, Isekai!
My first work under Comikey. As the translator in-charge of this series, I write the first-draft of the translation script which is then sent to the proofreader for edits. It usually takes me about 1-3 days, depending on the number of speech bubbles as well as pages, while the discussions and edits usually only take up to 2 days.
Being an Isekai comedy, there are a lot of references to classic, modern and even older mangas, games and anime.
In those cases, I will do the appropriate research and localize the reference / joke to the best of my ability, providing notes wherever needed.

As of 11/16/2022, Thank you Isekai has been expanded into 5 different languages!
I have been working with translators of the other versions to coordinate and better improve the translations.

Saki & Final Fantasy XIV
My second major project under Comikey, working in conjunction with Square Enix!

As the manga is a tie-in collaboration with a certain game as well as an existing anime, a lot of research has been done beforehand in order to ensure the terminology and style used by the characters and setting is accurate.
